Music

"If music be the food of love........then play on....."

MUSIC:
I love listening to music because it gives a soothing (Iyer, it's not the "sooth" u might be thinking of) touch!
U2:
If I were asked to name my favourite group, then it would undoubtedly be U2. They have sung some amazing songs; and Bono's vocals are simply out of this world. Their lyrics too have a lot of deeper meanings involved, and that's what makes them such a great band.
The lyrics of the songs "One" and also "So Cruel" from the Achtung Baby album are just too cool.

DIRE STRAITS
Dire Straits are also a cool band. Their songs convey both a sense of fun and craziness, and at the same time there is a tinge of sadness in them, a poignancy.

Agreed..Mark Knopfler maybe balding, but he plays the guitar better than anyone else with the probable exception of Mr.Carlos Santana.

FLOYD:
Do I really have to say anything....the name speaks for itself.

JOE SATRIANI:
A recent addition to my collection. He plays some amazing guitar. So does Steve Vai.

SANTANA
Santana's guitar speaks for itself. AWESOME. He's reinvented himself of late with 'Supernatural' and that's a good sign for hardcore guitar fans like me. The guitars on 'El Farol' from 'Supernatural' are heavenly.

BILLY JOEL
Billy Joel's been a favourite since I first listened to him sometime in 1992.....which was well before I started listening to U2! He's got amazing vocals and his lyrics are great.

GEORGE MICHAEL
George Michael's got an awesome voice and has sung some great songs. My all-time favourite of his would probably be 'Praying for time'. His lyrics are cool too. His Greatest Hits collection is a must for any music aficionado.

QUEEN
Queen is one of the best groups to have come out of Britain....lotsa great songs
